PS3 Saudi Football team in PES 2009
OK so the Saudi Football team ain’t that great and they kind of remain a mystery to many countries around the globe. Yes they did do well in some distant leagues and made it to the world cup back then and are still suffering, who cares when you’re playing PS3?
Honestly we all choose the best teams from countries and leagues to kick the other guys ass and eventually call it my team.Now what’s really funny and all the people that do play the game have come across is the names they give our team, I have attached a picture of the screen showing our players names and tried to figure out if they are african?asian?or just plain aliens? they managed to combine names from different countries and said…you know what no one will care.Check them out and give me an idea of what went wrong? did they actually take a moment to look up the teams names or ask our sport authorities about it and our guys just said forget them they are a bunch of kids with a video game? or was it done intentionally to piss us off?
My favorite names from our players in order:
Oslo Hamet, Agi Pakarani, Argo… I mean how do you come up with such magical comical names?
Should we consult with our people to talk to their people? or would we be considered wasting time? I don’t know but football is our #1 sport and our youth make up some 60% of the population and we have never heard of those people that make up for the Saudi Team.
I can imagine me walking around town with a number 7 football t-shirt with ARGO on the back….I am sure it would raise some eyebrows, you know what I think I will do that, and when asked I would reply ” what do you know? go check the name on playstation dummy!”

Well Ahmed thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject, but is it not time we sent messages to our offficials to handle these issues?especially that these small things are like a branding of our country… and football is a great ambassador.

Seriously, I have noticed that and it really bothers me not knowing any of the players from my national team. anyways you can edit their names and also strength and kick any team’s ass LMFAO !!
I like the names part Mohammad, but to kick any teams ass, let’s be logical here, we didn’t even make it to south africa…. So thanksfor the input, and let’s hope one day the game makers of tomorrow recognize wether they want to or not! They will do that if we are actually good.

Hey, what I am basically doing is I am editing the team, (kits, emblems, player names, etc…) I have been able to do a lot and I just have to rename the players. I will post this data on http://www.gamefaqs.com so it will be available for all PS3 users
