…but you can never check in again.

They drove past the hotel in the desert on their drive into vegas as the wind played crazy things with her hair, he loved it speeding in his drop down lady in red Ferrari and killer leather seats, he has a thing for two things, both of them female. She made it into his life about a year ago, she was the sexy, outgoing, outrageous kind, he liked that, not him, but a nice combo.

This was their 4th landing on international soil, it was a fast & furious, adventurous, getting closer kind of trip, what’s life without the fun after the work part?

They have their fights, they love one another, each in his own way, no one ever got the other, I guess that’s what kept them tact. She was into him, he liked his days with her as the main deal, she saw in him many things, he captured her inner soul, she was outspoken, he was a thinker kind of dude. Extravagant with a bit of laid-back best describes them, if you ask me I’d say the two were nuts to even consider the relationship!

I’ve been meaning to write about this subject for some time now, that time is now. Recently I have personally been a victim of “ no respect”, you know what I’m talking about, some other person, human, thing got away with not respecting you, treating you with a superior or inferiority complex of some kind.

Rest in peace my fellow people, respect is something we give freely and unconditionally to whoever we meet or interact with on our quest for happiness. When you respect someone naturally, you have reached the pinnacle of human relations. The problem here is that some people understand it the other way around, or have conditions, or in many cases to higher up individuals or people they look up to, other than that they disrespect.

You run and you run some more, you stop and you think, then you start running again, rain or sun, wind or droughts, you still run, till you can’t run no more.

In every encounter we seek happiness, no ones wants misery. We fall into another’s arms, while the heat of the last still makes us warm. They call them players, yet no one really knows them. They are loving, understanding individuals seeking the missing link.

She comes into my life insisting she is the one and not the last, she calls me baby, a name I got accustomed to, she falls in love with me, I fall back. Am I missing something here? was it my last, the one before that or this one? she answers with total belief and confidence, it is me.

Reinvention is a big word. It scares some, tickles other peoples fancy, misses many who choose to walk close to the wall never knowing what awaits them. Every once in a while you hear someone breaking from the pack, avoiding and not paying attention to the nay sayers and optimism slayers, they just keep moving on up!

What does it take to break from the pack and live the way you love, for the rest of your living days and in the process leave a legacy behind, or at least be remembered by your family, relatives and friends, or better yet the whole community.

In life & marketing I consider myself a leader of the pack, a tester of new ideas, a person that will check consequences as I go along, the thrill of being first excites me. If I can afford it, I use it, if I can’t I await the next big thing coming my way, if its free and wicked like Facebook, I attack with full force. That’s me, a sucker for new & innovative, its my way of saying thank you to the genius behind the idea.

I think that the thrill fades away after a while and in its place sinks reasoning and new perspectives, outlooks, understandings, change and a whole bunch of other stuff, but I still love Facebook for all its worth.

  • Would it mean the end of my existence? probably not.

  • What about the places we enjoyed in each others company, will they still be worth visiting? for sure.

What do you when you face service and product inconveniences? like the stewardess on my flight today who did not have my newspaper, had only one choice of breakfast, non of the bread I like, insisted on giving me reasons that we can’t satisfy every passenger you know! management doesn’t listen, blah, blah, blah..I just laughed at this one, cause I gave up on our local airlines 30 years ago.. many new airlines jumped to the occasion ages ago, my dollars go to much better airlines, that is not my case today..

As I checked the mirror one more time to look my best (which somehow seemed to have changed over the years from that teenager look) and checked my mobile, cards, you know the old peoples stuff, I walked the walk to the ballroom.

As I approached the ballroom the guards were everywhere, it was a special evening you see. The governor of our city was coming to give a speech and shed some wisdom on our group of grads who seem to still stick together somehow or the other, he said” we are the people that run the city now” how uplifting is that? the sad thing is, we are the grown ups now!

They say when you focus on something you get to see or feel it more, like the new car you want suddenly its everywhere, or the family vacation that is all over the news, as if its the only thing people are talking about, or the nagging boss that seems to haunt your dreams, just a few examples to refresh your memory of the strange things we take for granted and don’t know what to make of them.

A fine use of the word “INSTEAD”;

  • Instead of wondering why you hit that car and ruined your new toy, think how lucky you are to be alive, and while steel remains steel, blood is thicker than water, water is life and you my friend are alive to breath and walk another day.

Why do you do what you do?

When will you learn some things are left untold?

Who said I was an angel, my angel?

You want a justification, an explanation, some time for consideration, excuse me while I adjust my anticipation!
