2 miles an hour so every body sees you!

Posted on 01 March 2010 by Mamdooh

This one goes out to all the car lovers out there, I guess this is my other side…Gangsta!

p.s. You can AKS me about any slang word or car you don’t get in this song of Luda… you have to check it out on Youtube 2 miles an hour

Yeah.. we gon’ send this one out to e’rybody that put mo’ into they cars than they do they relationship

Let’s ride

Two miles an hour, so everybody sees you

It’s get out, put my pedal to the flo’ and let’s roll! Yesss, 7 cars, 8 cribs and ain’t a damn thing changed, I’m still pumpin 10 kickers, still grippin the grain

Still candy in the paint, still ridin them thangs. And most my folks would say I’m happy but I still feel pain, Until I, jump in my ride, that’s my only escape

Me and my automobile’s got these neighbors screamin, “Gimme a break!”

It’s a pity how we turn our city into obstacle course, Don’t be mad cause I can’t hold my 500 horses: Lamborghinis and Porsches, Ferraris and Vipers

I’ma wipe the seats witcho’ drool then rub the hood with a diaper, Television on the gas tank, the fuel make the ass stank

I MEAN to be rude, my bass tubes are in a glass tank, Go strap your seatbelts on, go put your money up, Go put your life on the line, go put your honey up

Go spread the word, run and tell all the boys, Time to play or better yet it’s time to bring out them toys

We goin Assign your name in the streets (sign your name in the streets)

Yo, one of my ways of releasin tension while I’m releasin some steam, Even if I just put a fresh coat of wax on I’m makin sure the slippers is clean

The 26’s is mean, shut down the block, nigga picture the fiends. My system supreme, you can feel the knock, just picture the scene. The chickens just scream, whole crew ballin they sick of my team, We gettin the cream, I’m through hollerin, I’m livin my dream, I’m black with a scheme, won’t stop until that fat lady sings

And yeah it’s actual and factual what my faculty brings a car show for whatever we slide and wherever we glide

You can keep your rules and regulations man cause we don’t abide, And we lookin alive, Mercedes Benz, 6 or the 5 In a Beamer, Lexus or Ac’, we don’t know how to act when we drive and I fiend for the ride, I lay back and lean to the side Onlookers and turnin heads is all that’s seen through his eyes, I’m breezin on by, and no doubt, it’s easy to fly,But it’s even better when you slow down or ease to the side

and go I’m ridin up in, GTO’s, and fo’-fo’-two’s Grand Prixs, S-S’s cause we so so cool Ridin Regals or the ‘llacs, we in Chevelles and Verts, Skylarks, motorcycles, ATV’s with the works Malibus and Camaros, T-Birds and Novas,Escalades, Navigators, Expeditions and Rovers, H-2’s and Denalis, pickup trucks with the beams, Crown Vics, Monte Carlos, even Cutlass Supremes are goin Assign your name in the streets (sign your name in the streets)

Learning by walking around

Posted on 27 February 2010 by Mamdooh

I never knew that you can learn so much just by wondering around places, seeing and watching different faces and looking at past traces of lost civilizations. It is astonishing just another place to the naked eye, yet so full of wisdom to the person who really looks. You know the saying about living and learning, well if you live long enough you know more than the rest, yet many live longer years and end up empty, as the source of their education was conventional, the ones that really make a difference and leave traces when they leave this earth of ours, are the wonderers, the people that insist on knowing more through interactions and observing their surroundings and other creatures.

Children: Watching young children play was always useful in understanding things I could not figure out, they play and run wildly until they get tired, we train and force ourself to gyms. When left alone, they hide nothing, they cry when they want to, we hide it until it kills us, they laugh at anything and we pretend to be grownups, they are naughty by nature, yet innocent little creatures, we fake it and break it and hide nasty intentions, they call you by your first name, we make them call us uncle and sir and Mrs., what for? They love chocolate for its yummy taste, we avoid it for its nasty side effects without knowing its wonderful feeling booster. I learn daily from children, they are my real idol, they rock my world. The best areas to see them in action is at school playgrounds, in family settings trying to free themselves from the family slavery, malls, airplanes, supermarkets, and the number one area in my opinion when they first enter a large toy store, they get caught up with the wonderful colors and how they will convince you to move in and live here!

Women: Watching women interact together is a whole new ball game to many, they assume that they understand them, yet no man can stand in a football pitch and say he finally found the true meaning of a woman  to the crowd. The delicacy and mere inner components of such a creature are a mystery, and are always sweet, no matter what you say about them , they remain our poets favorite subject, they remain the completing piece of puzzle to this wonderful life. They are your mother, your sister, your daughter, your lover, they surround you with their love and caring, they teach you how to be soft inside, when the world makes you tough. They love to have fun, just like us men, they are mostly misunderstood, they have been trying to prove themselves for centuries now, their time has come to take the reigns of power, the time is now. I could never get enough of their intellect, beauty, sexiness, love, tenderness, thinking, sweetness, rudeness when needed, the way they simply make you forgive them with a cute look, its all it takes to lose a battle. Watch when they want something, watch when they become eager beavers, like a black widow spider luring you to their web and sucking the living daylights out of you, lol. Looking on their bright side, they can make black look white and pave your stones with diamonds and rubies, delicately caress your pain away, slowly yet surely completing you. I need more space for women, I must move on.. Great places to watch females in action are boutique shops, malls, supermarkets and in business settings, actually everywhere there are females they are great to watch ;-)

Men: They are surely obsessed with their testosterone levels injected with a big ego shot. Men among men are a different animal, they test waters continuously to see who is bigger, better, faster, richer, more clever, and in the end, they find that the race was with themselves, so they become friends. With women they change like chameleons, even the fine examples have this soft spot for a female, even if she was out to get his neck, he would deliver it on a silver plate and after He’s history, wonders what went wrong? Please note the men have a naturally strong feature build, yet if you had a special X-Ray machine to check them out, you would find small boys hiding underneath that masculine body. They love and care, protect and share, hunt and dump, just like females, they also cry. My favorite watching areas for men are hotel lobbies, coffee shops and malls, business areas where they are all important, and for that extra special feature presentation check them out at night spots.

Earth: When you take a walk in a park or by the sea or even in a metropolitan area, look at your surroundings, study them, watch how they function together in perfect harmony, any imperfections to the general system are weeded out, its amazing. The different shades of green amaze me, the different aromas that descend from flowers and trees, woods and jungles, farms and spas, seas and rivers, waterfalls and volcanoes, natural springs and swimming pools. The sounds that things make when you step on them, the crackles, the pops, the twists, the very actions and disformations they adjust to. The sights of stars at night, and sunshine rays on rainbows, the full moon above and its reflections on an empty desert strip with the ocean in the horizon. Going under water is a whole new world, each movement precisely triggered by some great force from above, each fish has a parent, each shell fish has a destiny, each whale will travel thousands of miles to mate, each dolphin jumps out of the water in splendid grace. Sharks know they rule and have the powers to prove it, shrimps are someone’s food like many other sea life form, to know what Im talking about take a swim one day and look below you, what a sight.

Sounds: The music over the centuries that man has made is simply a wonder in itself, nothing can demonstrate mankind’s genius like music, think about it, out of nothing, you get these rhythms you dance to or memorize the lyrics to complete the joy. Like circles in the sand going round and round, magnificent artist keep grabbing us by the ear, each person develops tastes to other peoples making and suddenly he is a fan forever. The sound of all the different creatures, the sounds we make when uncomfortable, when in pain, when in distress, the baby cries, the animals purrs and growls, the rains drops on your head, the sound of your hungry stomach, the sound of my computer keyboard, the sound a car makes, the heartbeats, the sound of music.

Smells: Your nose has great capabilities in identifying and familiarizing itself with all the different smells around us. Smell this; A new french perfume on your skin, the smell of garbage at a dumpster, the smell of a baby, the smell of a man, the scent of a woman, a teenagers socks after a day out at school and the mall, the smell of freshly cleaned clothes soaked in comfort, the aroma of hot bread out of an oven, the smell of a new car, the smell of burning rubber, the smell of an airport, the stink of a skunk, the smell of autumn, what about the food you eat, the pizza, the lasagna, the rice, the stinky sushi that you still adore, the indian cuisine, the spanish, the Thai, the French, its all good, now I’m hungry, damn it!

Feel: What does it feel like when you get hurt, no one actually touched you? but you felt it, now what does it feel like to touch a kiwi, a watermelon, a cat, a dog, a couch? Every thing has a certain feel to it, what about the feel of your daughters hair, your hair, your skin, her skin, his skin, his beard, her back, what does your bed feel like? how do you like the feeling you get when you touch a flower? how bad does it hurt when a thorn makes you bleed? how does your palm feel? what about the other side? are they the same? how does baby oil on your skin make you feel after a hot shower? what good does a massage do you? how does her body feel next to yours? how does it feel closer? what does a punch in the eye feel like? is it the same feeling you get when you touch a slimy snail and a soft cuddly teddy bear? what about diamonds, rubber, the mouse you use daily, the carpet or marble under you, does it feel the same barefoot, how does walking on the sand make you feel, is it the same as walking on ice? feelings.

All you have to do, is to take it in slow, its so much fun when you understand where to get a proper Fun & Interesting education.

Mysterious woman of the night

Posted on 26 February 2010 by Mamdooh

She threw her self into his arms in a candle lit ambience, the music was far but disturbed the silence. He caressed her body and examined her beauty at close breathes, he took a deeper breath of her aromatic scents that filled the room. She gave in and melted like chocolate in his warmth, he quickly licked each drop of her before she fell to the ground below, for they were now floating on cloud number nine.

The danced to their own music, they mixed it all, tango, salsa, belly dancing, ballroom & ended it with their favorite slow body to body moves. He looked away and then straight into her lustful playful eyes in the deep of the night, she held him closer and held on to his broad built, she loved the man in him, he loved it all.

Close encounters, pulls and grabs, breathing down her neck nibbling away on her cheeks, he couldn’t stop himself, she lit his fire. She falls only to find herself in his arms again, his tender loving arms held her softly and assured her of more to come, her heat was spreading all over his body, she pulled him closer and did things to his lower lip only a hungry child would do to a watermelon, they breathed each others breath, they loved the disbelief of the moment.

The night time is the right time, her glow in the dark was inviting, his shadows were seductive. They shadow danced before touching, a touch here, a whisper here, a little nothing there, a flirt in disguise, its all good they think, they blink and realise its now or never, since never will take longer than the now, its gotta be now, he makes his move, its all or nothing he thinks, she is too delicious to pass, he goes for her luscious juicy lips and explores her taste with total pleasure.

In a hidden corner, little fish swim in the dark, watching and witnessing a lustful engagement of the third degree, one fish looks over to his girlfriend and winks “ any ideas on your mind baby?” they swim to the far side of the fish tank and make out till the break of dawn. And in the other corner we find her laying back on a couch in an awkward position, who cares they both think, he comes on top of her, caring not to hurt her, and explores her some more, he loves what he feels and sees, he goes for the neck in total thirst, more bites and nibbles, she is wonderful tonight he thinks.

As the moments move faster than they could imagine, she moves up and looks at him kisses him some more, as if telling him its time to go, he abides but with little resistance, wishing they could pause time, he has plans, and she stole them from his mind.

She moves away waiting for him to grab her again, he reads her mind, and away they go, their tongues get caught up in the action, their hands only the fish knew what they touched and caressed, he turns her around and grabs her from the waist, with his hands slightly higher up, he inhales the smell of her hair, he closes his eyes, he wants it all, he needs her tonight, he kisses her slightly behind her ears, and down her neck, he mixes his kisses with wet ones down her spine, she melts and moves away,” I have to go” she says softly.

They both walk lazily towards the door, both not wanting this to end, they needed to see what’s next, they love reading all the book and talking about it once done, and then go over it one more time, and then some more. They want to know what the pages of the future hold for them, they want more. They leave.

In the car, silence fills the air, the sound of the roaring engine, some music, no one talks, they just imagine the end of that start, one person is imagining what a night, the other is asking what just happened? one is wondering why did it end, the other thinks out loud “ I’m going to miss you” she looks at him in a mysterious way and smiles.

When they wake up in the morning, they both expect a message, but nothing there, they go back to their lives, each one waiting for the other to make a move, any move, both have busy lives, both know they like each other, could they be asking themselves questions? Should I continue this crazy encounter? What is it? How will it affect my life? Why can’t I just have her? Will he be like this 6 months from now?

Why can’t they just do what they feel and get it over with, what’s the worst that can happen, both have had previous lessons and must have fell and stood up again, what could possibly go wrong here? lol, they think.

She disappears into the night like some Marvel comic super hero, he knows what to do, and drives into the night, music full blast, speed, night lights, people of the night surround him, he sinks into his usual surroundings and calls it a night. Good night everybody, and a special goodnight to you mysterious woman of the night, it would be great to see your pretty face again, I missed a spot and need to cover it in our next encounter ;) he thinks!

Silence!

Posted on 16 January 2010 by Mamdooh

Enjoy_the_Silence_by_WickedNoxThe noise, the movement, the speed, the survival, the routines, the must do’s, the must not’s, the action, the competition, the money, the greed, the need, the faces, the fakes, the nosey, the brilliant, the magnificent, the dull, the wonderful, the sexy, the challenges, the race, the heat, the shivers down your spine, the pollution.

Press mute.

Love it, feel and breath that in. Its called silence, nothing but you and the surround system in your head. The little voices, the peace, the smooth slow motion action, its soothing and comforting, just like southern fried chicken. Relax those overworked sensors all over you, take a break, take a pause, silence.

Its good every once in a while to get away into your own contained world, when you do this, you get the chance to go back and forth to see what and where you stand in the today. People will not let you practice this amazing mute button we have, force it. Imagine your on a beach and are slowly getting further from shore into the skies above with a half hour parasailing joy ride. As you rise, the volume goes lower.

Nothing but the sound of distant seagulls and wind, silence.

We deprive ourselves of the simplest pleasures and rejuvenating experiences we can have anytime and wait till vacation time. You can do it now, silence. There are many additions to this mute button once you get used to it. You can start to mute the thoughts and ideas in your head, let the fun ones at the beach or on holiday rule your thinking cap for a few moments. Nice smile you got there! Hold it, and every once in a while, silence.

Take yourself on a long drive in a top down ride on any open highway. Let the wind and the sounds of the long road ahead wipe out all that tension building up, relax, breath it all in, close your eyes, its ok the car is on auto drive, to relieve your drive. You wish sometimes to place your finger on that chatter boxes mouth and go “shhhhh” don’t bring what your partner threw on you round here friend. Silence.

Soft music playing in the background, a mix of waves and a spanish guitar would brush away the mighty pollution we live in, people tend to go into pollute overdrive if you give them a chance. it comes in 3 sizes: Small, Medium and extremely heavy doses of social blah blah. Silence.

I seem to be taken as a person on the rude side of manners in some areas. Those areas include personal space and me time, call me selfish, guilty as jack the Ripper, silence.

Being able to read people is an art, you can’t expect to excel and thrive in a world of rising competition and changing attitudes while staying illiterate. You need to speak the lingo to be understood and accepted, silence is a good start. People should be polite to the polite, what happens is politeness is greeted with more aggressive space invasions and reckless manners. Oh how I sometimes miss silence.

You don’t have to travel to the furthest tropical paradise to find peace. You can find it in your living room, your car, your shower, your space, your time.

And now its time to place a finger on my fingers and go”shhhhh” Good night everyone.

Deep Sea Thinking

Posted on 07 January 2010 by Mamdooh

Rodin-Thinker-main_FullWhat would happen if an F-16 or a new Jumbo Jet landed in the time of the Romans, or the Pharoe’s or even before or surprised Jenkis Khan during his domination? What would the look on their faces be when they thought their invention of gun powder was the new might and you nuked them? OK that’s mean, how about I take on a whole army with one machine gun and some grenades?

What if I showed them a trick or two with my little toy planes and laser pointers, or stunned them with a Hummer truck, ran them over with a 1940 Panza Tank during one of the stupid wars to take more ground? How about introducing a TV with a DVD player with real people playing a sport which will only be known after another 1000 or so years?

What if I take a photo of them and show them what they look like, how about I introduce the mirror and then shortly after that introduce creams and cosmetics, the Hair brush and comb, the scissors, the electric shaver, the perfume… now you would have to start think marketing here, would it actually be too early for manhood? maybe they liked their stink, they loved their hairy bodies, the ugly nose was fashionable, and so forth.

Now lets dive deeper, if your an average human, you know the house fly, that little pest that comes in and sits on your favorite food or warms itself with your coffee in a cold room, well imagine the technical one made by humans. Now take that and take it only 100 years back to 1910 what do you think will happen to the guys behind the innovations you enjoy today?

What about the small and big creatures we keep finding on our planet? the ones that cant see but have headlights to lure smaller creatures for survival? we still don’t know, but insist on knowing more and more, it never ends, and if it does then you just started to get the big  picture. They say innovate, don’t imitate, irrelevant yet so powerful in its deep meanings.

How about the satellite this and the satellite that? remember back in the 80’s the large formats of videos and arcade games? well how would you like to walk around back then as a teenager with a mobile phone that has it all and so. so much more stuff? What would the fancy cameras and KODAK do when you slap them with a digital photo? And how about that famous TV producer and Hollywood gang do when you dig out of your purse a video camcorder the size of a pack of cigarettes? what would MP3 do to the music industry in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s forget mozart and the other bunch of amazing musicians.

Now when we hold our breath and dive a bit more, i want you to capitalize on this day & ages technological breakthrough’s in medicine and saving people. What would the grandaddy of modern day science Leonardo Da Vinci do with all his breakthroughs, I guess he would be a happy man knowing that he led us so far with so little, great man.

Now lets take a thing we only say WOW! when we see a new model and move on with our day. Back in the early 1900’s or even in the wild wild west days, or take it back a bit to the days of the glorious warriors who rode horses as a mean of fast travel, and you guessed right, drive by them in a Range Rover sport or even a speed bike, forget that maybe just cruise by in a laid back Harley. Would they drop dead in fear?

From telling the time to travel, from our modern day science labs to this computer I type on, from the communication tools we complain about to the small italian espresso machine in my living room, from the iphone to the invention of sushi, take a leap of faith into the future and whatever you have today will be tomorrows joke.

We should be thankful for the wishful thinking of our ancestors and everyone in between, we should thank the thinkers, the believers, the funders, the users, the complainers who made things better, we should thank the pessimists and the optimists, the eager beavers and the thrill seekers, the people who swam against the rising tide, the brave boys that took the lead into the unknown should be recognized not only in text books but in daily newspapers to remind the new generation of what it takes to move on in this mysterious world, we should embed the spirit of evolution in every thing we do, we should ask on a continuos basis: what next?” were do we go from here? were are we headed? and keep moving.

Never underestimate the power of questioning, there is no such thing as stupid questions and ideas, they all mean something, in the end.

An important scientific innovation rarely makes its way by gradually winning over and converting its opponents: What does happen is that the opponents gradually die out. Max Plank

SHAZAM!

Posted on 18 November 2009 by Mamdooh

shazam_screen-1Back in the days when we liked a song and never knew the name of the artist or song had serious problems, especially when your a teen and want to impress your peers! We used to go to the music shop and try and make the seller who never spoke a word of english in his life try and know what the hell we are talking about.

We would make stupid sounds to try and get the guy to familiarize himself with the song, it worked at a rate of 30% ( do not ask me how I came up with that percentage), he would then start to figure it out and we would walk away looking like retards.

Today, my friends we have something so fascinating that i thought i would love to share with you, for those who know excuse my late response and finding, for those who don’t… you will love me! SHAZAM is a software that actually listens to the song on that radio station, TV or ipod and hook up to the net, search for the song and tell you everything about it, where to buy it and how to download it! all on your phone.

Excuse me but if that ain’t cool what is?

In the old days it was hard, today it is getting cooler and cooler, imagine having to smell those perfumes online? get that cash on your pc? never leave home unless you really want to?

WOW!

Abracadabra I wanna reach out & grab ya!

Excuse me while I make my fast exit today, a great game on TV and its a WEEKEND here!

Then & Now

Posted on 13 November 2009 by Mamdooh

April2002ThenAndNowThey used to gather every weekend, we used to accompany them by force, they used to have fun as sisters and brothers with their whole family, they were my aunts and uncles. We were young children then, only observers as they say, we only digested and filtered what we wanted to remember and threw the rest to the cats.

  • They used to have fights every week, and meet the very next. We have the same fights, we meet after months.
  • The wife has daily battles with her husband, makes up the next day as if nothing ever happened, and does it again & again, we choose the easy way out and divorce one another.
  • People took peoples words to the Bank, today we take them to court.
  • Simple was king back then, complicated is the way to be today.
  • Schools forced us to learn back then, garbage in garbage out, schools are starting to listen in on humans real needs for progress.
  • Controlled directed information was then, today its up for grabs, its what you do with it that counts.
  • Cars were Bigger, gas thirsty, now they are mean and lean, tiny and cute, trying to free themselves from gas and ready for a Sun tan instead.
  • Managers were Bosses then, today they are part of the team.
  • Pepsi and Seven up were icons back then, now its back to basics and natural, how ironic?
  • Sell, Sell, Sell was the way of yesteryear, service, service, service is what it is now.
  • Expensive travel and phone calls are replaced with train fare air travel and hours of free air time to chat on the phone.
  • Post cards are replaced with email messages and sms mumbo jumbo.
  • Music was really made by real people then, today its electronic most of the time, love was the theme back then, its hard core house and brain draining techno today.
  • Business was done by long traveling days and exploration, today its B2B without leaving your office.
  • Movies were about wars and horror, now they are about funny and run away from reality more than ever.
  • Marriage is taken lightly and faster today, it was a life sentence back then, one you wanted to serve the years.
  • World domination and cold wars were replaced with strategic political takeovers today.
  • Reading was written in finely binded books, you can have the same today in PDF ebooks.
  • Food was wholesome, today its the latest version of fresh fast food.
  • Mom and pop stores filed the world, today they are replaced with things they call Mega Malls, and Hyper Markets with cheaper items.
  • What was handsome and pretty back then is not so these days, the measures have changed so fast no one knows what to expect.
  • Women were the backbone and never reached the highest ranks in the past, today men are aware of them eventually taking over their male dominant world for the last 20 centuries,
  • Children were fragile in the early years, now they are forming into a stronger kind of children driven by the new fast lifestyles they live today.
  • Money was cash and coins, today its electronic.
  • Travel agencies were a big deal and actually the only deal, today they are replaced with expedia.com & hotels.com.
  • Learning was on campus, today in your pajamas at your mac.
  • American muscle cars ruled the planet for more than 70 years, today the far east and Europe are bringing the American car companies to a melt down, They are now starting to listen to their customers like the Japanese did in the 70’s on American soil.
  • People had no choice on what to watch except for their countries broadcasting arms, today you can watch a program airing in the US within 24 hours in the Middle East.
  • Music was made on LP’s and Cartridge tapes, today its Mp3 electronic music. Movies were on big rolls of film today on DVD and computer files.
  • Computers had 128 mb memory, today phones have 4 GB’s of internal memory expandable to 8GB and more.
  • Photos were taken and developed in 24 hours, now you can take the same one 100 times and edit it, upload it to the net in less than 2 minutes.
  • In the old days the ugly people or so they say, were labeled that for as long as they lived. Today you walk into a clinic and change your look as many times as you wish and have that pointed nose you always wanted or those hairs you longed for after you lost yours.

Back then for me to write to you all everyday would be a killer task, today I write to you in my towel ready for my midnight shower before I sleep and just press publish and its yours!

If back then is now in a few days or years, have a great then & now :-)

I will Survive!

Posted on 01 October 2009 by Mamdooh

gloria_gaynor_i_will_survive_the_anthology_front

I will survive

Go on now go walk out the door, just turn around now,’cause you’re not welcome anymore, weren’t you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye, you think I’d crumble, you think I’d lay down and die,Oh no, not I,I will survive,as long as i know how to love,I know I will stay alive,I’ve got all my life to live,I’ve got all my love to give, and I’ll survive,I will survive.

If I can name one song on this planet of ours that will get any girl/lady/female on her feet in less than a split second, it is   “ I will survive” by Gloria Gaynor. Described as the Queen of Disco, her song is the most played Karaoke song in the world( The Mirror newspaper) and it has been 30 years or so since its release, WoW!

Let’s try to investigate the why? why this hype? why this love affair? why do girls just lose themselves when they hear the tune?why do they appear to be living it when it plays?why do they melt as if it is a hot oven?why do they sometimes cry? why do they reveal their feelings with the guard on OFF mode? even if she is with her new boyfriend…

I can imagine her boyfriend watching her going with the flow, losing her religion, feeling every word and emphasizing certain others, crying as she sings it, making weird faces after putting on several poker faces throughout this relatively new relationship, and then she sits down and pretends nothing happened after the song ends.

“ You like the song?”

“ Not really, actually a little”

“ but you were like a woman on steroids a minute ago, how can it be only that?”

“ well let’s not go there, I hate men!”

“OH OK, a bad experience?”

“ What do you mean?, Your the first I ever knew!”… Ok I don’t like that part, let’s say she didn’t say that and she actually admitted to her previous heart break hotel suite.

“So this song brings out the frustration?”

“ Well not really, It kind of makes me feel stronger in the face of feelings, I can be me and move on, I am strong, invincible, I have a great future in front of me”

“ So did you love him?”

“ Yes, very much!”

“ and?”

” No one deserves me, I am too precious, men are @#$holes!”

“ not all, I’m sure there a few good ones out there”

” the good ones are taken” you know the flow of things from here on.

So ladies, please tell me, and explain the love for this song in particular, I have met some women who have never had a heart break but love it? what does it release in you girls? Is it that powerful? does it do the job? does it make you stronger? help me in answering the questions to Adam’s descendants.

Now you guys, do we men have a similar song that makes us jump up and move in all directions as if we are some duracell bunny with twin turbo power?

Go girls Go! You will survive.

I always seem to check a persons top 25 songs to get a feel of this person. The idea first occurred to me when i was shocked sometime back with my most played song, never cared for the rest. It is so funny to think you know your favorite song and find its actually not even on your top 25 songs in the last year or more.. I know we tend to sometimes reset our lists with new ones, but it still means something.

What I am going to do today is take myself as a specimen and invite each one of you to check his top list and see what kind of information you can pull from it. You don’t need a marketing agency to tell you what you like, its right there in the palms of your hand, and it won’t break the Bank. I have my home and travel ipod and I have my gym nano or whatever they call it( that’s full of hard beat stuff that lifts you, and not classical music). The list comes from my main one, the itouch.

We tend to smoothly move from mood to mood in a non undetectable fashion by the music that soothes us or raises us to the next level.

I had to strip the songs and see what they meant for me,and here is what i think:

The top 5:

Having “Closer” as my #1 I guess it had to do with the thrilling beat that gives a sensational effect and talks about an unknown love affair in the making, and that she wants to own me,control me… hmmm. My eyes lit up with joy on my #2 song “Happy Dreamer” I guess that is what I am, its the translating I’m working on. Such a great uplifting sweet tune and words, when Im feeling down this song seems to pick me up, that spells me being down, or thinking about something big, true. I also get this feeling when I am making serious changes in my life pattern, I simply love it( I am listening to it now!). “Take me away” need I say more. “Turn off the lights”

well, let’s just say that’s when I’m in play mode ;-) .

That #5 song just took me off my feet when i first heard it on some music channel, I knew it was destined to be great. It has those mixed ingredients of wow! words, meaning, beats, the works, “ nothing ever hurt like you” I actually have not felt that wicked feeling yet! Don’t know if I’m lucky or am missing some special love bruise.

Songs 6-10:

Now when It comes to Amy Winehouse, my list has about 45% of the songs thats 9 songs! Why? she has amazing talent, as if she never rehearsed in her life, a born genius. I heard she’s 21 or 22. She speaks her mind, something I love. Love is a losing game, has a great tune and powerful romantic wisdom.” Played out by the band, love is a losing hand!, more than I could stand”. Funny I don’t listen to her anymore?

As the list moves down you find more house music tracks, I do have a sense for great hits, not really updated, I guess you can call them classics.

At number 10 comes “Lazy” I know I am, but I have to remind myself when Im working to ease off and kick back, sometimes too long, but I love the feeling. If only you could be that all your life, and realize your dreams, that is my dream!… does that make any sense? who said I wanted to in the first place, I was being lazy.

Songs 11-25:

Natasha say’s she has a bucket full of sunshine and she wants me to take her to a better place. I love every single word in this masterpiece pick me up kind of tune.

#22 was my guess to be my #1 I guess I heard too much to the point I lost interest in the feeling it gives me, basically taking it for granted. My last song on the list is always gonna be there I guess, reminds me of my teen days, An I love Cali.

There you have it a snapshot of my life, all caught on mp3.

So what’s your list, do you dare check?
