Life’s ups+down’s = UP!

Posted on 14 January 2010 by Mamdooh

life-has-its-ups-and-downs-ruth-palmerMy life has witnessed many ups & downs, more downs than ups, down’s pave my future ups, each one higher than its predecessor. Dips they call them. Some small, some steep & deep. I eagerly await my next dip, for behind each dip, there is a valley, and with it comes my new mountains to climb & conquer, keep climbing!

I never saw a straight line climbing success. If you analyze the line closely you will see the downs and dips, with all the pain and suffering, the anxiety, the stress levels at boiling point, its al there cleverly disguised. People sometimes need to fake it till they make it, or in other occasions just contain and never complain about their day, while in reality they suffer as you speak.

Every two and a half years you will face a major crisis in your life, sometimes earlier says success guru Brian Tacey. Not just problems, major crisis and life changing happenings, you will be rocked, Your boat and everything in it will be rocked and rattled, shaked and baked, taken for the life thrilling test drive. To see what your made of.If you manage to stay afloat after this experience, then you are granted a gate pass to the next level, if not, you sink, and remain in the dust of the successful few. Success has a price you know, like everything else in life.

The only difference between success and anything else you buy, is the payment structure. For everything else you pay and receive on the spot or in a few days, for success you pay today in hard work and major contributions and sacrifices, and wait for your turn to receive it, no guarantees!

So why do people still pay upfront for this so called success? with all its pain and hurt, suffering and never clear roads. With all the books and papers, with all that waking up early and focus pokas training. With all those lost friends and fun time, You had to give up so many great activities, including just being a bum! Why?

If you ask me, I can tell you one thing I know, it has a great taste and after taste to it, one that stays long after you digest the fact. Success has a sweet smell and flair to it. Success moves your senses, sometimes you feel areas in your body that you never knew existed. Success is the potion that you rub onto anything you touch and it turns to gold. Success leaves trails and tracks, imagine they are yours? You write it, you ride it. “You can do it!” is one of the many driving factors I used along the way, and I scream out to you all, you too can, so what are you waiting for? start walking that winding road.

They say it has unknown lengths, it does not use miles of kilometers, it uses sweat, hours and more hours, sacrifice, focus, target setting and milestones all mixed up in a big juicer and then whatever comes out is the new measure for that part of the road.

When faced with doubt, doubt that doubt and cross it out. Go with the GROW and follow your gut feelings, your internal success compass knows more than the average friends that surround you, respect yourself and listen to your guiding systems at all times.

“If you want to take your mission in life
to the next level, if youre stuck and
you dont know how to rise, don’t
look outside yourself. Look inside.”

p.s. sorry for the short note, 1+1=2 and not some essay elaborating on the exact answer. Now you have saved more time to enjoy your day :-)

GO!

Posted on 07 January 2010 by Mamdooh

go logoWhere did I put that manual on life again, I can’t seem to find it when I need it most? OH! I forgot I don’t have one. They never told us that we could do it again after falling down, they never gave us permission for another go, they never gave us the rules of engagement in this oh so ever exciting life. If you were to sum up all the various directions we got when we were young and wild, it would have to be GO!

If the only direction is forward, with some back momentum for push, then GO! would be it.

We seem to have a never ending supply of “Go, bump, move away, continue, go some more, walk, run, slow down, stop, look around, GO!” we know that one, but what happens when we have a head on collision and seem to be a bit dizzy and have a loss of direction and start to just walk on, in any direction, then we find that the road travelled has unfamiliar terrain, and is getting more and more harder to cover. We stop, analyze, think about the situation and sometimes get lost in the analysis.

We stall. Don’t! just GO!

Don’t take too long to uncover the bleeding and suffering, don’t take too much time analyzing the hurt, the betrayal, the shocks, the losses.. you need to keep moving, you need to think and move, we had a laid back life, now its faster and only the fit can survive or be left in the rubble, get up and move. Go!

People will not forgive you under any circumstances. They will laugh at you on your way down, and envy you on your way up, at least give them a hard time. This is the real exam in life to move on to the next level, you change course in due course, you take the first step up, you wave and smile, you GO!

When you concave upon yourself, you start the manifestation of a nation of negative village people, burn the village down, it will not be a criminal act, on the contrary you will be helping yourself and remember they are all temporary useless friendships based on that energy sucking I talked to you about in the past. They will suck you dry to the last drop, use whatever it takes to keep at least one spark of positivity and ignite yourself, GO!

Travel light. Dump the luggage. Use minimal tools. GO! back to basics. Reveal your true potential. Get close and personal with success. Fake it till you make it. Find laughter in your mishaps. Seek energy from food and sports, read, watch uplifters. Shy away from sad, explore happiness. Enroll in life’s bounties. Watch what you hear. Be clear and definitive on your goals. Unleash the beast within you. GO! back to age 4 if you have to. Pull on your wonderful memory. Hold that thought, GO!

When down, lower your negative intake. Claim the victory and celebrate your small wins. Strike evil between the eyes. Push and shove for your smiles. When you smile the whole world smiles back. Powerful emotions and eruptions take place when you strike X that marks the spot. GO!

NIKE says Just do it! we can do that, we can do it, we did it so far, we do it day in day out, doing is believing, just did it was what you did, you know how its done, you can move faster than before, doing it over and over again means you can, why not do it again?

Nothing beats a good days GO!

When we know, we grow, we show, we flow, we glow, we always GO!

March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life’s path. Khalil Gibran

Risk Takers

Posted on 25 December 2009 by Mamdooh

Risk.JPGI laugh at the people who say they don’t like to take risks. The ones that insist on a certain belief system that they have somehow come to believe and live by day in, day out. The ones that come to banks and say we want low risk investments. The ones that never go out of the ordinary and tread on the normal pathways of earth. The ones that drive safe. The non smokers. The no airplane people. No fun in the sun, swim in the sea knock offs.

Many people believe that they are no or low risk takers. They know nothing!

If you analyze your daily life movements and actions you will come to believe that you are one crazy, lunatic, mad risk taker.

The moment you wake up in the morning or go to sleep at night you are at 100% risk. Its a game of statistics that can play in your favor or against you. You can wake up and fall on the bathroom floor and break your back or neck, or you can sleep and never wake up by choking to death. Scary huh?

Well thank God life is much more kinder than that on humans. We are a tough species.

  • The day you learnt to drive, your chances of dying in a car accident increased 100% over your friend that never learnt to drive.
  • The raw sushi & sashimi you eat with all its fame & glory can get you to a hospital faster than a speeding bullet if it was rotten, how would you ever know? you trust the sushi place for having fresh fish, that’s how.
  • You go to have a botox injection( I am too lazy to check the spelling, Im sure one of the girls/boys will help with this one) to fade away those aging lines and look younger, they ask you if you want to go under anesthesia during the operation, you accept.Let me rephrase that, They ask you if you want to go unconscious under a drug, so they can operate on you without you knowing anything, you might come to, and you might not. You ask me to stop scaring you? you do sign a paper that the hospital is not responsible for you if something goes wrong don’t they?how scary is that?? yet you accept the risk.
  • You cross the road every day, hoping that no one will be a lunatic and run you over.
  • You go to work in a safety standard environment and forget that the contractor could have sacrificed on the material of the whole building, yet you go daily.
  • You drive with your safety belt on, you drive within the set speed limits, you go by the book, and you know that there are a million maniac drivers, some drunk drivers, some brainless teenagers on a joy ride, running red lights in big SUV’s at race level speeds, yet you drive on.
  • You use your mobile unit more than you use your brain, you talk and talk till the battery dies, you have heard of the batteries that exploded before, that won’t happen to me we think, yet we blabber away.
  • You buy the safest anti virus software and update it automatically and pay away, month after month, and governments get hacked, and still you sign up to that Bank account online and show your finances to the world.
  • We buy products day in day out, we hear that water gets contaminated, food gets poisoned, medicine gets tampered with on its way to a shelf near you, and we still shop online.
  • The people using protection know that there is a slight possibility of catching a disease or getting someone pregnant, yes its small, but its a risk? so do you continue taking this risk? or become a priest and vow never to get near a female again due to the risk factor? or just take the whole nine yards and go with the flow? people make sacrifices, sometimes in the wrong areas.
  • You plug that electrical appliance and you are oh so sure it wont electrify you, you stand in the shower all wet, get down on the marble floor and head to your shaver and plug it, is that insane or normal? you change the lightbulb and think its safe, what about those long ones that explode when they fall to the ground?

You have all these crazy ideas going for you and you call yourself a no risk person, a low risk individual, a medium risk taker, a 100% guarantee buyer. There are no guarantees in life, so why the hassles?

Enough said. Risk is a part of our lives, we live it and we take it daily like vitamins. Stop the whining and move out of your comfort zone that you hide behind calling it names like risk appetite and risk tolerance and sometimes calculated risk.

The last one is a favorite amongst Investors and business people, I am also a big fan, calculated risk, what risk are you wiling to take for the final prize? should you take it or not? that’s another thing.

You know the famous High Risk High Reward saying, its true you know. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose, when you win, make those winnings BIG and add some spice in your life, go out and have fun, enjoy the good times.

If I had to do it all again, I would take more risk, and higher reward pots. Even though I am known for my high risk attitude and lifestyle, I still know deep down there is much more risk that needs addressing. I also know that where I am today is due to the many risky roads I travelled and watched people standing on the pavements saying “ there goes that crazy man again with his wild ideas and lifestyle changes” I guess Chris Columbus didn’t think of  what people thought of his travel ideas to make his thoughts more thoughtful and meaningful!

Go out today and do something that scares you. Do something that makes your adrenaline levels sky rocket out of the roof, look RISK in the eyes and dare it, go totally ballistic and take a bit of risk, go ahead now, make hat decision you have been putting off for so long due to non-risk-appetite tolerance levels.

Remember risk takers don’t have a certain look about them, they are normal you & me’s walking and living amongst us, they dive, bunjee jump, sky dive, ski, water ski, play football and rugby, race cars, have wild relationships hoping for the best, they try that new dish on the menu, they basically have more fun.

Take a walk on the wild side, forget managing your risk and show it what it means to be a risk taker, you take the risk, enjoy the outcome, positive or negative, its all good for the heart ;P

” If we listened to our intellect, we’d never have a love affair. We’d never have a relationship. We’d never go into business, because we’d be too cynical. Well, that’s nonsense. You’ve got to jump off cliffs all the time to build your wings on the way down.” Annie Dillard.

Breaking Through!

Posted on 19 November 2009 by Mamdooh

200385380-001This is the story of a little girl who grew up in a country called saudi arabia, another country in the planet with opportunities for those who seek them. Why did I relate it to opportunity? because it is and always will be, very simply put any place on earth is, some more than others.

She grew up here, studied some time outside, came back and refused to sidetrack from her friends negative vibrations that seem to have doubled ever since she left them four years ago. She had one friend that adored her, believed in her, knew she was going places. This other girl was a local by all means, and studied at local schools, local colleges, even had a few gigs on the side to help with her expenses, some secretarial, hospital, sales to name a few.

Two girls one mission. Who are they up against? the rest. They know how hard it is to succeed in a country that had nothing in store for ladies and was trying hard to fill the gap steadily. They know many girls who made it to the top of businesses across the country, these girls were not doctors( they seem to have had no problems). They pin pointed their targets in terms of success. They identified the models, the goals they went for, the average time it would take them, and most of all saw the end, felt the success, actually breathed it in every day from that day onwards.

They would meet up casually to talk about their milestones covered, obstacles removed, threats that lay ahead of them. All this while their friends whined some more and stuck to the crowd doing what they do best, follow like a herd. The two girls enjoyed it day by day and had sweet little victory celebrations every once in a while.

They faced society with all they had, faith. They saw every problem as a challenge, tough or soft, they knew it when it came and handled it with care. Many people tried putting them off, including their families and closest of friends, asking them to get married and settle down, they had greater visions not apparent to the eyes of the jealous and clueless many.

As days are numbers and months are more digits, years come and go, a few years later, the two are celebrating their major milestones. Each has managed to carve a place for themselves in prestigious corporations head to head with their rivals, men. Although men seem to want to help, they also have their own back to handle in a fast paced ever so changing competitive business atmosphere.

They start to seek mentors for their coming years of success, all by the book, every inch of the way clearly planned and put to practice. They know that they have moved mountains so far, now its time to move lands, change the face of the earth preparing the arrival of the next generation of female workforce which make up for 50% of the population or a bit more based on some late figures.

Who ever said it was easy they think out loud, but it was real fun and what kept us going was the following major points they write:

  • A true visible vision of our dream.
  • Real faith in our abilities.
  • Not to walk on previous peoples failures, walk around them.
  • Keep our vision on track no matter what.
  • Leaving the box and living out of the box, wether people liked it or not.
  • Faced our fears head on, eye to eye and spoke up.
  • Used our brains as well as our hearts on our quest.
  • Never looked back only to see how far we have covered.
  • Took the negative words and down force communication from people and recycled them positive.
  • Worked smart not hard.
  • Thanked people for their help all along.
  • Always asked questions and respected peoples views, that way we always got the very best.
  • Were grateful to be living in such great moments in mankind’s history.
  • Networked like bees, always giving then receiving.
  • Used the buddy system.

You see it can be done, stop penalizing yourself for false things you think that keep you tied down. Things that only live inside your head, always growing heavier never moving you forward. Just as there are girls with no future in the near horizon, many boys face the same perils due to ignorance and giving up too early. Billions of words have been written on this subject, but few go digested. There is only one way in my opinion to move, make things SIMPLE!

What do you want? what do you really want? do you want it really bad? does it ache when you don’t have it? do you see yourself having it day and night? does it shake you inside out? does it hurt you? does it live in you and all you can see is IT? if it does then you are ready to move, if not work harder at what you really want.

We all know it, we all feel it and I have rarely been wrong on things to come in this world, only because I listen

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.  ~T.S. Eliot

@ any given moment

Posted on 09 November 2009 by Mamdooh

defineMomentTshirtCloseup_WHT_007_LargeHave you ever paused while on vacation in the middle of the night when the music is loud and the lights are fading away the more you drove into the night, just like a mirage? Have you ever thought about that exact moment? the very moment you are dancing the night away and in some distant land at that given moment meetings are being held, people are being killed, babies being born, an old man passes away at the age of 87?

Have you ever wondered about what is going on as you are landing in Heathrow airport? have you ever noticed the sights and sounds that you could have missed if you were back home? or the rain pouring on your head while someone is scorched by the sun in the desert? How about that cry in the delivery room, that smile on the new applicants face when he is hired, or even that football game on the side of the road with all those supporters.

The people on the road making their way to work, the children getting off the bus starting their day, the chewing gum that got stuck to your shoes, the first snow flake that lands on your nose, that cool refreshing drink after a hard workout, the smell of that new car you drive off the car dealers parking, the smell of winter after a long flight from the middle east.

We tend to have these moments and  take them casually, we tend to fast forward the lovely sights and sounds that make our life. Those bits & pieces that make up that portrait we remember as a whole. We love the silence once we miss it, we fear that same silence when it continues longer than anticipated. The battle of the thoughts and priority shifting of ideas wastes my focus. I remain a silent observer of what goes on around me.

Have you ever taken yourself to the invisible balcony that oversees your every move and reaction? They say once you gain access to that vip view, you rule the new you. You manage effortlessly to control your every move and avoid the pitfalls that you dive into. At any given moment you are moving towards or away from your dreams. At any given moment you are writing your own story. With every twist & turn you end up at the corner or fork of the road. Is it right or is it left? I can understand your confusion, bare with me till the end.

When you witness your every move, imagine most or a random selection of your living day, you manage to get a brighter picture of the things that make you go tick followed by a tock. Remember that the faster you go, the faster you are likely to miss a turn in the road that can cost you years of your total balance. Learn to slow down every once in a while, take it easy, take to the slow lane, relax, inhale, exhale, breathe.

When you learn to do that, you are suddenly a wiser person, a concerned person, an involved person, a nurturing person, a feeling person, but most of all, an admirer of the gift we call life.

At the rate things are going, real face time will deplete replaced with cyber warp speed interactions. The now common netiquette and symbols are only the start of things to come, soon our smileys and emoticons will be out-fashioned just as DISCO is today. Yes, more people will be able to display their true feelings hiding behind a screen or mobile, screaming and sharing true feelings in cyber space. But is that what we run to? is that our aim in life? is that what you wanted when you were a young kid? or even a teenager with all that might and fearless soul?Do you know what goes on in your mind? do you focus on the subconscious messages you receive? or do you move them to the trash folder upon arrival because they irritate you?

Its time for you and me to take a back seat for a few minutes only every day and reflect, make sense of our purpose? imagine the outcomes of our actions and those funny little ideas. You never know what you will end up doing in five years, so tell me again what will you be doing in ten again? one little thought caught on tape is all it takes for you to manage your life better, take your foot off the gas pedal, and ease on the brakes, slow down, come to a complete stop, relax, take those breathes and look around you.

Well have you ever wondered

how we ever came to be

Have you ever wondered why

there’s still a you and me

Have you ever wondered why

I haven’t turned and walked away

And why I stayed

Gabrielle- Have you ever wondered

24 Star Service found!

Posted on 06 November 2009 by Mamdooh

CustomerServPrior2Jn1n

This traveller had more millage than any airline could handle. He has vowed to travel the world to explore and report his findings to the #1 travel channel 1000th episode. They needed to uncover the best of the best in everything worldwide. They wanted him to travel freely and explore everything everywhere money was not an issue. He had been to the fanciest of places first to uncover the realities on these over marketed destinations.

In many cases he reported and pictured countries that were once the pinnacle of tourism that finally came crashing to their knees, and in other cases discovered new countries on the rise, He was one of the first to discover the beauty of the Croatian coast line and the tourism fever going on there. He also pointed out how the foreign fidiling and seminar business ended Budapest’s rich culture with all the fake fancy hotels.

He also pointed out that Dubai was the best, the largest, the fanciest, the spendiest, the trendiest new thing in the world, but astonished his viewers when he said its got that FAKE feeling attached to it, unlike the utter magnificent european heritage and history feeling it gives any traveller.

His mission this month was to visit to a new country that has surprised many travelers, both business and passerby’s with its uncanny levels of service that was simply shocking for that region in the world. He decides to get over with this country as fast as  possible as his next destination is Uzbekistan where he will take the silk road all the way to China.

He arrives on the countries national air carrier. He cannot complain on his 12 hour flight he was pampered like a baby. His smallest details in economy class were taken into consideration. His seating was larger than the normal airlines by the exact width and length, I wonder what first class is like he thought to himself. The food was just as if his mother was cooking it( that was there secret). The attendants were not only smiling, they were making the whole plane crack up in humor! ( Their previous jobs were stand up comedians and a 2 year intensive training program in service and sales).

As the plane landed he was wondering why the flight had to end so fast?

“ Ladies & Gentlemen, thank you for letting us serve you. You have been a great company, and we enjoyed every minute of our time together. I have delivered to each one of you a thank you  card with the flight details and your picture with me for your diaries. You are all getting a 50% discount for choosing us on your next flight to wherever you may wish and it is valid for 3 years. Free auto transport in the city is available for all passengers. If you are not satisfied with our flight or service at the airport, you can email me or call me for a full, no questions asked refund of your ticket. We hope you enjoyed you flight, Have a wonderful stay” “

He laughs out loud! is this a joke?” “No!” say’s the guy next to him. “its real i had my tickets redeemed when a guy at the airport called me by another name last month”.He leaves the airport without checking in at the customs, he is greeted with smiles and more smiles from the men at the gates, they are in uniform, but all smiles? he asks someone at one of the every few desks that has a sign that says “ please ask me something, anything, anytime” it had 4 people as if waiting to jump at you in enthusiasm, “ why don’t I need my passport stamped?” “It has sir, as soon as you landed, we have you on our systems, stamping is now optional as a souvenir if you may”

His bags are held by a man dressed in a suit and his name is clearly printed on a large LED sign on the baggage trolly. He rechecks his eticket to make sure its economy? His large black 2010 mercedes drives up his 5 star hotel, the doors open and he is welcomed by a senior manager looking man, he looks around him and everyone arriving at the hotel is getting the same treatment. He is fascinated by the smiles :-) . He starts to look around him in all directions to find an angry looking

individual, no one in sight. The front desk ask him his preferences, he is asked if he has been here before? No, is the answer, he is upgraded to a suite and executive level on the spot. He gets in, takes a shower in an amazing display of oriental oils and soaps, everything is brand new, but as if at home. he finishes, gets dressed and decides to have lunch at a local restaurant which he walks to, he is walking in a desert country and the weather on his   iphone reads 16 degrees? how come the weather channel said 36 today? he realizes that the walking path is air-conditioned with the right mix, the area is well landscaped and he has been walking for a few miles now!

The people in the street look familiar to him, the faces seem to be smiling all along, some even offered to help him by stopping their cars. He could not help but notice the parked lincoln taxi’s that read FREE on top all parked every 500 meters or so. he was looking at the clean roads, the marble floorings, the neat little shops, the endless bluetooth messages to guide him through the city. What is this place? how can they do this, how did they manage?

He gets to the place, has lunch, wonderful food, amazing people, it just gets better. At night he manages to get to the local mall. There he wonders if these people working here are from earth or part of an experiment in service standards. He actually tried finding a face not smiling or waiting to serve him?

He tried so hard to make an argument with one shop, then gave up when the person in the shop felt he was not happy and decided to hand him a 100 dollar gift voucher, the irony was he was bargaining on a 30 dollar item.He tries to get more involved and starts a mission to visit Banks and government agencies, hospitals and other food outlets.

He finds that a battle for service excellence was going on between the whole service industry. The target was to go beyond pleasing the normal customers, the target was to find real service measured in decency and honesty, real versus fake, the fastest efficiency versus fast, WOW versus thank you’s. This place was going places he thought.

As he drives to the airport he remembers his month in SAUDI ARABIA and wonders why other countries can’t copy what this amazing new world number one service provider? He loves his tan, his desert adventures, the food was impeccable and achieved full marks by any standard,

“Boy do I have a story to tell the rest of the world” he sinks into his first class upgrade bed, closes his eyes and thinks when he can bring his family here?

He who serves is the master of the game.

Day’s R numbers

Posted on 31 October 2009 by Mamdooh

alanparsonsdaysHave you ever been in the position of almost breaking into a 1000 pieces, and then some more? Have you ever been in the position where you wished you could make a strange magical move and disappear? Have you ever been wondering what it would be like to be a kid in high school again and run away from your responsibilities? have you ever been thrown into a road where everything on it spells disaster? Have you ever been asked to act when your actions were limited? Have you ever thought about why the whole world was against you?Do you know the word helpless? Have you lost track of your dreams and goals due to walking on the wrong side? How about that time when you wished there was something more than crying to take the pain go away and restore one night of peaceful sleep in exchange for a 100 restless nights?

Prepare for an important news flash!

They say that serious & life changing situations will hit you every (2 1/2) years for the rest of your life. This is the latest research on human behavior coming from the mouths of the greatest success gurus of our day & age. This is so true due to the many changes we have endured of the last 30 years or so and the speed we are moving at.

  • Is it not true that days seem to be numbers? Is it not true that some time back, we heard the Japanese who rule the world in technology and production measures asked for a 26 hour day? We thought they were crazy, then stopped before the laugh ended remembering we belong to the same global neighborhood.
  • With change comes frustration, with frustration come high anxiety levels, more disappointments, more expectations when things are going south, getting lost has never been easier.
  • The hours seem to be bundled together in 3 hour batches, the little ones seem to be getting married faster than we anticipated, a decade seems to be a year or so, information seems to be outdated before we finish reading the books content page, music changes faster than our moves and grooves, we seem to be moving on a super fast escalator in all directions.

Now the good news. With every single stone in the road there’s a suitable kick to remove it. With every obstacle there lies an opportunity or moving experience. Knowledge is the key and the power we need to arm ourselves with. Networking and getting answers at any given time is nothing but a click away. Opportunities are now for the educated all around informative person and not by the background/status quo/college. The finest run business models in the world came crashing to their knees in a fortnight by the mistakes of the very fine people who graduated with honors and run those models. Never blame your self for the worlds actions against you. Take the message in a reverse mode and use its power to propel you to your next level up!

I have personally gone throw a string of up and downs in all directions as if attached on one of those catapult rides in orlando with a full stomach of junk food. It all seems to boil down to a few things:

  • What you think of most of the time stares you in the eyes. So if you stare at your emotional levels, it stares back. If you stare at your financial worries, they seem to grow. If you take your fears and worries seriously  they tend to get multiplied and come back and haunt you.
  • When you imagine the possibilities, dream a little, surround yourself with a (FFP’s)few positive fun people to get you through the day and remove the (NAM’s)negative annoying many, you seem to see clearly one day. It seems to brighten up, the light seems to shine more, the opportunities peek at you as if to make sure you are ready for positive change.
  • Suddenly as if someone is checking to see if you break, or they break you, comes over to you and pats you on the back and says” Well done, you are worthy and shall be rewarded for your brave standing and weathering out of all that we threw at you, Good luck on your journey!”

Positive vibes and people enter your life, they surround you, joy you, help you, magnify your greatness, make you shine and rise above the rest.

Opportunity welcomes you in. You are rewarded from the least expected places and faces that seem to have slipt through you like sand in an hour glass.

Trust me on this, there is great potential in belief, believe in your self, if you won’t, who will?

Grab life by the horns!

days are numbers

p.s. Thank you Dodge for that great slogan.

It’s all in the details

So many things I take for granted. So many passers by I miss. So many moments I tend to pass. So many laughs I have wasted. So many hugs I ache for. So many friends I have forgotten. So many rhythms my body never bounced to. So many kisses my lips have fled. So many heartaches I never felt. So many thank you’s I never delivered. So many warm moments I made cold. So many people slept by my sides. So many songs I never sang   along to. So many roses I never inhaled. So many birds I never flew with. So many journeys never witnessed my first step. So many enemies I forgot to forgive. So many moments I spent alone. So many days unaccounted for. So many souls i never lent a a helping finger. So many girls I sent crying. So many girls I never shed a tear for. So many girls I miss. So many sunsets gone I will never witness again. So many little steps my son took I will never see again. So many days of dancing in the rain gone dry. So many ideas swept away by the running water of my shower. So many faces forgotten in a blink of an eye. So many promises to my mom gone without any actions. So many changes destroyed by my comfort zone. So many waves never caught. So many yearly resolutions moved to the next. So many diets that made me fatter. So many destinations never discovered. So many ants never watched as they build their kingdoms.

So many things I know I have the time for, I know I can, I know we can, I know it has been done by many, when will it be my time to enjoy the joys of this wonderful world of ours.

When will I rise to the occasion and witness gods greatness and forget peoples silly remarks and actions. There is more to be done with this body of mine that be another brick in the wall.

I will cherish every moment and every breath I take, for If I learn to do that, I have learnt the real meaning of the small things that go unnoticed.

Embrace life.

Friends & You

friends_cast_004a

It is known now that you are the average of the 5 people( or 6 for the sake of my favorite TV show) you hang aroung with most of your time. It makes sense to many people who have found this and adjusted their surroundings. Imagine with me the following scenario:

Ahmed has 5 friends, Ahmed is a single 27 year old Banker, he makes Sr18,500/ month. His friends are as follows;

Khalid: A fellow Banker, married, 32, makes Sr20,000/month.

Yasser: An engineer at a construction company, 24,single, makes Sr14,500.

John: An advertising manager, married,29, Sr20,000/month.

James: A marketing rep for a major brand, 26, married, makes Sr18,500/month.

Tarik: A Tele company senior manager, 35, divorced, makes Sr32,000/month.

Now from a financial point of view Ahmed is making the average of their monthly income. And he is single. He will also be the average of their mental power also the average of their success levels, the average of their positivity and so on. What usually happens is the group will either:

  • Pull you up to their level or,
  • Pull you down to their area.

Why don’t you go ahead and check out the guys in your group, anything from 3 to 5 individuals will do. Your findings will astonish you.

So what do you need that piece of information for? well to start with, if your group are a bunch of lazy bums chilling 80-90% of their time, I don’t see you going places!

If you do wake up one day and have a dream of becoming someone with more financial independence and a successful career you need to increase the total of everything( ingredients for success). And that could only be done by one of the following ways:

  • Remove one or two of the group to enhance the average,
  • Bring in some fresh blood to the group, or rich individuals.

Find a new group and dump the existing in a diplomatic way, trust me they will drown themselves sooner or later. They tend to have a downward spiral momentum, where down is cooler!

Likes attract like, so does success. In order to succeed you need to conduct an analysis of your surroundings, if at the end of your report you find weaknesses instead of strength’s, change is a must! “But these are my friends!” you complain, “whatever” I say, to move forward you need to get out of your comfort zone.

The example above also includes:

mindsets, thinking progress, funny factor, logic, analysis, growth, networking capabilities, reading, sports, athletic well being, knowledge, affairs, communication skills, social activities and many more important areas in life.

You know that one part of your body is much stronger when connected to the other organs and limbs that make up your final body structure and build. So just to strike this one home, imagine a body builder with the most amazing biceps and overall conditioned arms, the triceps are out there, the forearm is strong, a picture perfect for any magazine. Now take that hand apart from his body, do you think it can survive a minute? not really unless its mechanical in the first place. The arm needs blood, protein, calcium and intensive training with other parts of the body to grow bigger than normal standards, the rest of the body supplies that ammunition. Now, think what would happen when the rest of the body sends out garbage to this arm? I would think the final arms would look like popeye’s girlfriend olive oil, long thin stick arms!

Know what you want, check what you have, get what you need, remove what you don’t need, move on.

When people ask about you, they ask about your friends, make sure their questions are answered with A’s and not D’s.

p.s. Don’t go dumping your friends today, keep a few that make you laugh or have no intrinsic value but the joy of laughing :-)

Positive Vibrations

Say you just cant live that negative way,If you know what I mean;Make way for the positive day-Bob Marley

Everyone seems to be talking about positive these days, to be honest I am Happy for the incremental momentum towards happiness as a way of life. What bothers me is the fact that most of the followers are not believers of the Positive movement.

The Secret, the book that only touched the iceberg of an escalating power that can be harnessed to the very few that can abide to its signs and not the masses who just took it for granted. They do mention that it was a secret wealth generating formula used by the high officials of monarchies and rich individuals long ago, then someone leaked the information to his friends and the rest was history.

You have to be authentic in your belief and follow through. When you truly trust that the world is on your side, it does seem to catapult you in the direction of happiness without you feeling it. I speak from true experience on the subject.

Remember when they said be careful what you wish for, its true. To give you a more finer example on that piece of advice let me clarify it with the following;

The young girl who wanted to marry the man of her dreams who was a multi millionaire so she could indulge in love and have everything she ever wanted delivered with a kiss. Well, when this girl was 17 or 19 she actually did find her dream knocking at her door, she marries Mr.Money and love, only to find that the money was true, actually even more than her wildest dreams. Her only problem was the other side of the coin, the love was weak, and it became weaker and weaker, and then suddenly, one day, the love was gone. She knows that is used to the lifestyle, and can not let go. She knows he is playing behind her back, but never seems to mind? She boasts the palace, the cars, the first class lifestyle of the rich and famous, happiness is a thing of the past. I must hang on, this life is too good to let go of, my children need this, my friends know me as Mrs. Richie Rich, my question is” for how long? and for what?”.

To Mr.Money, she has become a liability and no longer an asset. He must do something, he must replace her with a younger, finer, leaner and sexier wife, or maybe if I talk her into it, she would accept being a first wife?

My message to her: Follow the happiness trail, and everything will be enough.

Another example is the fine young boy who seems to be the loner, the one that the girls didn’t fancy, the one that had many boy friends, but not enough girlfriends. You know the one that loves the cars, the football, the gatherings, the life of the group. He wakes up one day and his friends call him and say why don’t you join us, were going to the beach, he goes and is the only one without a female companion, even the ones free are trying to snatch the taken ones for their experience and bad boy attitude!

He suddenly thinks its enough, i want to be hunted down, I want the girls to come knocking at my door, I want to have so many girlfriends that my friends envy me! I want to choose, I want to dump, I want to have them all he thinks. He goes about his day in a normal fashion, he threw the wish in the wishing well and forgot about it, Well today he hit the age of 35 and guess what crept upon him without him noticing?

This fine player as they call him, is the talk of the town, every girls dream, “ If only I can grab a piece of him?” think the girls. He seems to have a magical wand that he waves over any girls and she falls to her knees, they all want to feel his passion, his love, he is the Don Juan de Marco of this age and time. As the girl leaves his car, he thinks to himself, I don;t think I want to be with her anymore, she is boring me to death. He has put aside the idea for marriage for the last 10 years or so, not yet, no one deserves my love, no one can fulfill my needs. One has the looks, one has the body, one has the brain, one satisfies my sexual fantasies, and one almost has it all, but no!

He suddenly gets a flashback at the time he was a younger lad, he can see his friends playing with their babes and having sweet summer fun all year round. I wonder what they would say today, the poor losers, all married with kids.” The only problem my crowd is a younger one now he thinks” but that’s a good thing they say, forget about it.

My message to him: Its never to late to refocus your energies on a greater cause, and suddenly my friend she will appear at your door step with all you ever dreamed of and more, To be happy you need to think happy, not quantity, quality my friend, QUALITY. It is true we might take many years and many trials to find that companion, but she is out there, somewhere looking for you, make it easier for her and send her those positive vibes, that will pull her closer to your side.

Wouldn’t it cool if we had a radar system that detects positivity and happiness signals so we can get closer.

Wishful thinking is just that, until you believe it becomes reality, sooner or later, wether you like it or not, it will take place.
